After
Saturday, May 6, I'm off on my annual drive to the most popular Olympic Fina
meet on the circuit in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida May 11-14.
Once again I will study, analyze and scrutinize the world's best divers, coaches
& friends. I will video it all. And I will send back pics and videos
to you periodically. I will learn much and you will get the benefit of it
all.
2004 US
National Team ~ Olympians
Syracuse
great Tory McKenna, CMD diver Dannielle Sanko and my diving coach buddy Greg
Gunn (Princeton), have signed up for this special trip.
USA Olympian
Mark Ruiz with Tory & Alexandra
You
can bet on a great deal of schmoozing with the Olympians...and a great deal of
socializing...We are staying @ the Fina Meet Headquarters - the
Sheraton Yankee Trader - for the same 50% discounted price the Olympic
athletes and teams are paying!! (right on the beach, walking distance to the
pool and on boulevard and near the Galleria....eeeeehaaaaa!)
USA Olympic
Gold Laura Wilkinson with Tory & Alexandra
Get
your sammy to me by Saturday, if you want Olympic autographs. And put your name
on your sammy please.
USA Olympian
Troy Dumais
In
my absence,
Olympic Trials runner-up and BAD coach-
Lori Waresmith will be coaching you.
She is a trained psychologist and mother, so you will not be able to put
anything over on her :)....I have given her all your current dives...and what
you are working on.:). Be like you always are: attentive, courteous
and hard-working!
Lori @ last
weekend's East Nationals
Since we do not have anyone diving in the
Plantation meet (May 20-21), I may not go to it...BAD Brandeis has a number of
divers in it....and I am still debating going to it for a day or so...In any
event, I will use the rest of my time to visit my relatives who are now
living in Florida...
I will keep in touch via email and let you know when I
am returning.....
Upon my return and with only a few 3 mtr practices to
whip you into shape for the New England Championships (June 3-4) @ Springfield,
will your new dives on 3 mtr be ready for competition??? Just say yes!
...... they will!
Competition at the New England Championships will be
tough this year....
Expect
greatness! And work for it!
