2007 Christmas Gift-Giving Meet Results
This year's Christmas Gift-Giving Meet was the best ever!
Although it was small compared to other years, we had 50 official entries, we had seven AAU National Qualifiers (see results) with five New England Clubs competing: Polar Bear Diving (Maine), Central Mass Diving, South Shore Diving, BAD & BADWEST (Mass).
Everyone got a gift and more importantly everyone gave a gift! (click pics to enlarge)
BADWEST PARENTS
were super and although I am not aware of everyone who contributed I do want to
give special thanks to a few who I dealt with directly: Food Gurus
Erin & Rich McQuaid,
Jim Flynn- great job coordinating and pulling volunteers in. The
food table was tops! The Computer Peeps were efficient as ever..and kept a
great flow to the meet:

Linda Feng and Coleen Sherman.
Despite our new pay-at-the-door policy, our team of
Anne Vogel and
Holly He prevented what
could have been chaos with the little on ones.
As always, many thanks to Vince Scuoteguazza for loaning
us his laser printer-a very important part of the meet. Thanks also to the
many you who helped with decorations and running dive lists to a fro...Two
divers who could not dive due to medical reasons

hobbled about with dive lists...Kim
Yang also contributed greatly to the decorations...thanks to all of you
who baked some food and stood by...what a team effort. I'm sure I missed
many of you, but thanks for making this meet a great team success.

BADWEST sports three AAU National Qualifiers.

BADWEST finished a respectable 2nd place without diving most of you on 3 meter
or bringing in our young lesson divers. Nice job all around.
Special congrats to the National Qualifiers and Katie Vogel, Jodi Costello, Rybo Shelley, Patrick Rogers, & Kim Yang for diving 'up top' and gaining valuable points for the team effort.
As a matter of fact, everyone who dived contributed points to the team's 2nd place finish.
Best diving of the day goes to Hannah Magid...who dived most like how-she-dives in practice...She has shown a steady development over the months! We are still seriously lacking in 3 mtr lists to be able to compete with the better teams....We all need to work on meet presence, meet mode and meet focus.

This year's Winter Blahs Meet had nine AAU
National-qualifying scores;
Three divers qualified on both boards: Heidi Grossman - (16-18) Providence Twisters, Cassie Corneau-(14-15) Providence Twisters and Ryan Shelley, (14-15) BADWEST Diving.
Nicola Mancini -( 14-15) of Polar Bear Diving qualified on 3 meter; Casey Sherman (10-11) qualified on 1 meter and Kelly Sherman (12-13) qualified on 1 meter. See results below..
