July 2007 -
BadWest's
team barbecue was a hit for all who attended (according to this reporter's
sources;).
Lots of meat, salad and drinks were downed
and calories burned (well some) on the beach, when we tried our hand at whiffle
ball, paddle ball and whatever....Later in the day, some of Jim's friends
arrived and we downed some more drinks and, oh yuh, the steak tips, chicken &
hot sausage and pepper & onions
that never got 'barbied' before you had to leave. ;0).....
The weather could not have been much
better and the sunset was great..but it was surely your presence that made the
day great!
The All
American Family Avdoulos' stayed later in the day....(Well they had to ;), Jim took Pete
& wife Susan & oldest daughter Deanna
and
Patrick Rogers
four-wheeling
out onto a narrow sand-spit of a beach called Saquish. (see high school
All American Patrick Rogers in the background of the above pic?:)
Ariana bangs out a home run and
Audrey and Amy gossip @ water's edge.
Nice swing, great stride :)

Jodi & Ariana wave; Jodi hits a homer then laughs all the
way home ;)

Pete shows us the All American swing enroute to homer;
Lindsay waves while playing paddle ball with Michelle

Steve waves to camera-Adam waves to Steve; Jim &
Matthew Flynn pose and Patty Higgins and Steve Rogers chat.
Avdoulos Family - Pete thumbs up on chow while Melanie
says "wow, here's that guy with the camera, again.");
Sunset poses, Deanna and Susan @ beach pose
Pete is the Springfield College

Below is small group of Jim's friends
who came by to polish off the steak tips, chicken, hot sausage with pepper and
oniions and whatever burgers and dogs were left over...and there was plenty!

Thanks to all of you for coming; thanks
to all of you for bringing so much food, salad, dinks, ice, coolers, coffee,
goodies.
& special thanks to
Naeem Siddiqui and
Erin McQuaid and
anyone else I may be leaving out
who were stupendous in helping organize our time at my humble abode. We
had overflow food...The day was perfect.
