Europe trip was especially gratifying.....was able to visit a small town in the
Austrian Alps called Hallstatt.
It is here that the oldest known Celtic settlement (graveyard) was discovered in 1846, creating what is known in archeology as the Hallstatt Culture. The remains, of Celtic peoples from the 8th century BC, their possessions, jewelry, even clothing, working material, art, and of course bones....preserved mainly by the salt in the region and in the mountains.
